Blistering Murali batting takes Lankans to incredible win: Tri-Nations Final (Mirpur)

Muttiah Muralitharan was the hero with the bat as Sri Lanka fought back to beat Bangladesh in the final of their one day tri-series.

Sri Lanka slumped to 6-5 the lowest ever score after the fall of the fifth wicket in ODI history. Kumar Sangakkara 59 worked with Maharoof 38 not out to repair the damage but when he was out the Lankans were 114-8.

Enter Muralitharan he smashed 33 not out off 16 balls to win it with 11 balls to spare and settle the issue. Earlier Bangladesh limped to 152 all out as spin duo Ajantha Mendis 3-24 and Muralitharan 2-33 spun a web after the Kulasekera inflicted early damage.
