Lankans crush Pak for series win: 3rd ODI (Lahore)

Tillakaratne Dilshan smashed a careerbest unbeaten 137 (139 balls 10 fours) while Muttiah Muralitharan grabbed his 500th ODI wicket as Sri Lanka bulldozed Pakistan by 234 runs to win the threematch cricket series 2-1. The loss was Pakistan's worst ever margin in ODI history. Sri Lanka racked up 309 for five before its bowlers skittled out Pakistan for a meagre 75 in just 22.5 overs. Pakistan were reeling at 226 with the Lankan seamers Tushara Mirando and Kulasekera running through the top order. Umar Gul 27 and captain Shoaib Malik 19 restored some pride with a 46 run stand but four batsmen had ducks against their names as the home team folded up for its lowest score at the venue. 3rd ODI Lahore Jan 2009.
