1975: Pitch dug up but Aussies retain Ashes

After a drubbing down under a few months prior, England lost the 1975 series at home 0–1 but at least restored some pride under new captain Tony Greig.

Australia went 1-0 up in the 1st Test but rain and stout resistance from England were the order of the day. Vandals dug up the pitch at Leeds when the game was evenly poised causing the test to be halted as a draw.
