India lost seven wickets for 68 runs to be bowled out for 282 in reply to Australia’s first-innings 333.Australia were 179 for 8 in their second innings to lead by 230 runs.

Umesh Yadav's strikes (4-49) brought India right back into the match as Ricky Ponting (60) and Mike Hussey (79 not out) did a repair job.
