Match fixing: Salman Butt appeals to lift 10 year ban from cricket

Banned Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt arrived at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland on Friday hoping to have his 10 year ban from cricket overturned. The former Pakistan captain is appealing against his 10-year ban from all cricket which was handed out by the ICC in 2011, following a spot-fixing scam. The Court has scheduled a day-long hearing and is expected to deliver its verdict in the next few weeks.Feb 2013
