1953: Lindwall cuts through England (Leeds)

England were put in to bat by Hassett who won the toss for Australia.

The England batsmen could not settle down to the strong Australian attack and were all out for 167. Only Tom Graveney stood firm with 55 as Ray Lindwall took to 5-55 to blast out England. England hung on for a draw and then regained the Ashes in the next last Test at the Oval.

4th Test, 23rd July, 1953 at Headingley, Leeds.
