Barbar, Sarfraz setup up daunting chase for Aussies: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Abu Dhabi)

Babar Azam just missed a maiden test century but Pakistan gave itself more than two days to win the Test series against Australia.

Shaun Marsh was dismissed as Australia, having been set a world record target of 538, finished on 47-1.

Earlier, Barbar Azam (99) and Sarfraz Ahmed (81) put on a sixth-wicket stand of 133 runs. Babar was denied a maiden Test century by just one run when trapped on the pads by Mitchell Marsh.

Stumps Australia 145 all out and 47 for 1 (Finch 24*, Head 17*, Hamza 1-19) need another 491 runs to beat Pakistan 282 all out and 400 for 9 dec (Babar 99, Sarfraz 81, Lyon 4-135 ).
