Anderson hits back, England in charge: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Southampton)

Veteran James Anderson was on song as England's bowlers grabbed the upper hand against Pakistan on a rain-affected first day.

Pakistan were strongly placed at 78-1 but Anderson claimed two wickets and Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes and Sam Curran one each as the visitors closed on 126-5.

With a stop start day due to rain, only 45.4 overs were possible.

Pakistan 126 for 5 (Azam 25*, Rizwan 4*) v England.
