Williamson, Nicholls dominate Pakistan: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Christchurch)

Skipper Kane Williamson stroked a classy 112 not out, in the midst of a record double century partnership with hometown hero Henry Nicholls, who is battling a calf injury as NZ dominated Pakistan.

Having dismissed Pakistan for 297, Williamson came to the crease at 1-52, which soon became 3-71 when Tom Latham (33), Tom Blundell (16) and Ross Taylor (12) all departed.

Williamson's 215-run stand with Henry Nicholls, unbeaten on 89, helped the hosts finish day two on a strong 286-3.

New Zealand 286 for 3 (Williamson 112*, Nicholls 89*) trail Pakistan 297 (Azhar 93, Jamieson 5-69) by 11 runs.
