Curran seals easy win over Sri Lanka: 2nd ODI (Oval)

England thrashed Sri Lanka by 8 wickets to clinch the ODI series with a game to spare.

Left arm paceman Sam Curran took his first five-wicket ODI haul as the hosts restricted Sri Lanka to 241-9. Dhananjaya de Silva rescued Sri Lanka with a run-a-ball 91 after they were struggling at 21-4.

In reply, Jason Roy hit 60 from 52 balls, sharing an opening stand of 76 with Jonny Bairstow to take the game away from the tourists.

England 244 for 2 (Morgan 75*, Root 68*, Roy 60) beat Sri Lanka 241 for 9 (Dhananjaya 91, Shanaka 47, S. Curran 5-48, Willey 4-64) by eight wickets.
