The 1992 Cricket World Cup (also known as Benson & Hedges World Cup) was the fifth edition of the tournament and was held from 22 February to 25 March 1992 in Australia and New Zealand. The 1992 World Cup was notable in that it was a first to feature coloured player clothing, white cricket balls and black sightscreens with a number of matches being played under floodlights. It also recognised as one of the best organised world cups, and marked the re-entry of a post-apartheid South African team.
