Riverside Ground

The Riverside Ground is a scenic stadium situated near the River Wear. It hosts Durham County Cricket Club. It became a first-class venue in 1995 when Durham was elevated to first-class county status. It is one of the newest international venues in England.

The venue hosted its first international game in the 1999 World Cup when Pakistan took on Scotland. The first T20 international match was played at this venue in 2012 when South Africa toured England.

The Riverside Ground has a seating capacity of 17,000 for international matches and it gets reduced to 5,000 for domestic games.
