Dilruwan Perera was born on 22 July 1982 in Panadaura, Sri Lanka.
He is a off spin bowler and right hand batsman. Perera made his ODI debut against England on 13 Oct 2007 and his T20 debut against Australia in Kandy on 6 Aug 2011.
Perera made his Test debut against Pakistan in Sharjah in 2014. In 2016, his spin and resolute batting helped Sri Lanka whitewash Australia in the 3 Test series at home.
