James Faulkner was born on 29 April 1990 in Launceston, TAS. He is an allrounder who bats right handed and bowls left arm medium pace.
After making his first class debut for TAS against QLD in 2008, he made his T20 debut for Australia in 2012 against India in Sydney after a strong Big Bash League showing. He made his ODI debut against the West Indies in 2013 in Perth.
In the 2015 World Cup Final, Faulkner played a key role in Australia's win. He took 3-36 as Australia overwhelmed New Zealand to win the World Cup for a fifth time.
