Teenage batting prodigy
Ambati Rayudu was born on 23 Sept 1985 at Guntur. He is a right handed top order batsman who was hailed as the "next Sachin". He captained India Under 19's and then made his first class debut in 2001. After a long trial period earning his stripes, overcoming a series of onfield incidents, and success for Mumbai in the IPL, he made his international debut when he was selected in the 1st ODI against Zimbabwe in July 2013; he made 63.
