Orthodox Left Arm Spinner
Zafar Ansari was born on 10 December 1991 at Ascot, Berkshire. He is a left arm spinner who is also a handy middle order batsman. Ansari made his first class debut for Cambridge MCCU v Essex at Cambridge in 2011. He then joined Surrey.
Ansari made his One Day International debut for England against Ireland on 8 May 2015. He was also picked for the UAE tour against Pakistan in Sept 2015 but could not make it due to a finger injury.
He was picked on the winter tour to Bangaldesh and India and made his Test debut against Bangladesh in Dacca in Oct 2016.
