Ervine, Bennett centuries flay Afghanistan: 1st Test, Day 2 (Bulawayo)

Centuries from Craig Ervine and Brian Bennett put Zimbabwe in charge of the first Test against Afghanistan in Bulawayo.

Sean Williams, who started Day 2 on 145, could add only nine more runs to his score. But Ervine, who were batting on 56 not out, scored 104 while Bennett contributed an unbeaten 110 as Zimbabwe posted 586.

Afghanistan were 95-2 with Rahmat Shah on 49 not out when bad light forced stumps with 9 overs still remaining.

Afghanistan 95 for 2 (Rahmat 49*) trail Zimbabwe 586 (Bennett 110*, Ervine 104, Ghazanfar 3-127) by 491 runs.
