Stokes and Archer inspire dramatic 22 run win after Jadeja heroics: 3rd Test, Day 5 (Lords)

England survived a courageous second innings fightback by India’s Ravindra Jadeja (61 not out) on the final day of the third Test at Lord’s.

India had crumbled to 112-8 at lunch after Jofra Archer (3-55) rattled the Indian middle order. Jadeja was joined by number 10 Jasprit Bumrah. They were together for almost 22 overs before Stokes (3-48) finally dismissed Bumrah.

Spinner Shoaib Bashir bowled Mohammed Siraj for four to seal a famous victory and go 2-1 up in the series.

England 387 and 192 (Root 40, Washington 4-22) beat India 387 and 170 (Jadeja 61*, Stokes 3-48, Archer 3-55) by 22 runs.
