Quintin de Kock struck a century as South Africa levelled the series 1-1 after a dominant 8-wicket win over Pakistan in the 2nd ODI in Faisalabad.
Pakistan posted 269/9 after being sent in, with Salman Ali Agha (69), Saim Ayub (53) and Mohammad Nawaz (59) giving them a competitive total despite regular wicket losses. Nandre Burger’s 4/46 and Nqabayomzi Peter’s 3/55 kept them in check.
The chase was then made straightforward by South Africa’s top order — Quinton de Kock was superb with an unbeaten 123 and Tony de Zorzi provided strong support in an opening stand that broke Pakistan early. South Africa got home comfortably, with 59 balls to spare, sealing the victory long before the death overs.
