Duffy leads NZ series win over Windies: 5th T20 (Dunedin)

Paceman Jacob Duffy led the way as New Zealand wrapped up the T20I series against the West Indies with a commanding eight-wicket win in the 5th and final match at the University Oval in Dunedin on 13 November 2025.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl, New Zealand’s pace attack, led by Duffy, ripped through the West Indies top order batting lineup. Duffy took 4 for 35, reducing the visitors to 21 for 4 inside the power-play before they were bowled out for 140 in 18.4 overs. Despite a few lower-order contributions, the West Indies struggled to recover from their early collapse.

In reply, New Zealand’s top order made light work of the chase — Tim Robinson smashed 45 off 24 balls, while Devon Conway anchored the innings with an unbeaten 47. The hosts reached 141 for 2 in just 15.4 overs, winning comfortably with 26 balls to spare.

The victory gave New Zealand a 3–1 series win, sealing the home summer’s opening series in dominant fashion and giving them strong momentum heading into the upcoming ODI leg against the Caribbean side.

New Zealand 141 for 2 (Conway 47*, Robinson 45, Springer 1-8) beat West Indies 140 (Chase 38, Shepherd 38, Duffy 4-35) by eight wickets.
