Pakistan sent in to bat in overcast conditions collapsed to 234 within the first hour as leftarm seamer Thilan Thushara grabbed two wickets in four balls. Manzoor 93 and Yousuf 90 repaired the damage with a 167 run partnership for the third wicket but 3 late wickets put the home team in charge as Pakistan closed at 7-289.
