Smith inflicts pain on England: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Cape Town)

Captain Graeme Smith hit an unbeaten 162 as South Africa finished the day 330 runs ahead of England at 312-2.

Smith was reprieved after a LBW referral when 51 and went on to share a dominant 230 with Hashim Amla 95 to put his team in total control.

Earlier, England were bowled out for 273 after they resumed on 241-7 a deficit of 18.
