Umar Akmal inspires rare win over Aussies: 1st T20 (Edgbaston)

Pakistan swept to a 23 run win over Australia after their pacemen Umar Gul and Mohammad Aamer bowled superbly at the death.

Earlier, Pakistan posted a decent 167-8 thanks to Umar Akmal's stunning 64 from just 31 balls. This knock set up the win for Pakistan over Australia in the first of two Twenty20.

In reply, Australia were looking pretty until Gul bowled two batsmen in his final over with Australia all out for 144. Spinner Ajmal -326 finished off the game with two wickets in his last over.
