Upul Tharanga (111 in 139 balls) scored his fourth ODI century of 2011 as Sri Lanka set Australia a target of 287.

Tharanga's knock was well-supported by fellow opener Tillakaratne Dilshan, with whom he shared a 139-run opening stand.220 for one quickly became 230 for four as the hosts floundered their way through a premature call for the batting Powerplay.

The five-over tactic brought them just 22 runs at the cost of three wickets.
