A superb unbeaten 52 in just 37 balls by No 9 Michell Starc lifted Australia to an unexpected 222-9 after Sri Lanka's bowling attack fell apart at the death after containing them to 145-7 in the 39th over. Earlier, David Warner (60) was the only top order batsman to shine after Michael Clarke's (20) decision to incorrectly refer a clear cut LBW decision cost his team 2 wickets as Warner and Henriques were sawn off by poor umpiring errors.
