Oman upset Ireland: 2016 WT20 IRE v OMA No 4 (Dharamsala)

Debutants Oman stunned Ireland to win by two wickets. Chasing a competitive 155 for win, Oman were off to a blazing start with their openers Zeeshan Maqsood (38 off 33) and Khawar Ali (34 off 26) smashing 69 off 8.2 overs. Needing 14 off the last over, Oman won with a ball to spare.

Earlier, skipper William Porterfield (29 off 28) and Paul Stirling (29 off 22) shared a 48-run opening stand in 6.3 overs as Ireland posted 154-5.

Oman 157 for 8 (Maqsood 38, McBrine 2-15) beat Ireland 154 for 5 (Wilson 38, Ansari 3-37) by two wickets.
