Warner and Starc hit back with win: Tri Nations No 4 (St Kitts)

David Warner smashed a century but was struck on the thumb in Australia’s 36-run win over South Africa in St Kitts.

Warner hit 11 fours and two sixes in his 120-ball 109 and dominated a 48-run opening-stand with Aaron Finch (13 off 28).

Chasing 289, the Proteas, cruising at 3-210 but were all out for 252 in 47.4 overs after Mitch Starc (3-43) triggered a collapse.

Australia 288 for 6 (Warner 109, Khawaja 59, Smith 52*) beat South Africa 252 (Du Plessis 63, Amla 60, Starc 3-43, Zampa 3-52, Hazlewood 3-52) by 36 runs.
