Gunaratne heroics seals stunning series win: 2nd T20 (Geelong)

Asela Gunaratne struck a superb 84 off 46 balls to inspire Sri Lanka to a dramatic two-wicket victory over Australia.

Chasing 173, Sri Lanka slumped to 5-40. They were still short at 7-138 with only 12 balls left. Gunaratne blasted three sixes and a four offthe 19th over from Moises Henriques and then snuck smashed 14 off the last over to clinch the win.

Earlier, Moises Henriques made an unbeaten 56 off 37 balls to lift the hosts to a sizeable total of 173. Australia are yet to beat Sri Lanka in a home T20 after five games.

Sri Lanka 8 for 176 (Gunaratne 84*, Tye 3-37) beat Australia 173 (Henriques 56, Klinger 43, Kulasekara 4-31) 2 wickets.
