Ashwin, Shami complete historic 3-0 drubbing of SL: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Kandy)

Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed four wickets and paceman Shami took three as India routed Sri Lanka by an innings and 171 runs inside three days to complete a 3-0 whitewash.

Sri Lanka were bowled out for 181 with no batsman scoring a fifty in either innings.

This was India's second straight innings victory against the hosts, and they've sealed a 3-0 whitewash in an away series for the first time in their Test history.

India 487 (Dhawan 119, Pandya 108, Rahul 85, Sandakan 5-132) beat Sri Lanka 135 (Chandimal 48, Kuldeep 4-40) and (f/o) 181 (Dickwella 41, Ashwin 4-68, Shami 3-32) by an innings and 171 runs.
