Wagner inspires innings win over England: 1st Test, Day 5 (Auckland)

Left arm paceman Neil Wagner took 3 wickets in a fiery spell as New Zealand pulled off a dramatic win by an innings and 49 runs over England.

The Kiwis wrapped up the rain-affected first Test with only 18.5 overs to spare after Ben Stokes played a defiant knock.

Wagner struck dimissing Stokes for 66 on the stroke of dinner and that secured the win in the last session.

New Zealand 427 for 8 dec. (Nicholls 145*, Williamson 102) beat England 58 (Boult 6-32, Southee 4-25) and 320 (Stokes 66, Stoneman 52) by an innings and 49 runs.
