Windies knock over Uganda for record low 39: 2024 T20 World Cup

Left arm spinner Akeal Hosein took five for 11 as the Windies bowled out Uganda for a record low score of 39.

Earlier, opener Johnson Charles top scored with 44 from 42 balls and a powerful blast from Andre Russell (30 not out) accelerated the scoring rate as the Windies posted 173-5.

In reply, minnows Uganda were all out in just 12 overs to match the Netherlands' total against Sri Lanka in 2014 and fall to the second-largest margin of defeat in the tournament's history.

West Indies 173 for 5 (Charles 44, Russell 30*, Masaba 2-31) beat Uganda 39 (Miyagi 13*, Hosein 5-11, Joseph 2-6) by 134 runs.
