Archer, Rashid, Wood skittle Oman in record win: 2024 T20 World Cup (Antigua)

England defeated Oman by eight wickets after completing the quickest run chase in T20 tournament history.

Pacemen Jofra Archer and Mark Wood tore through the Oman line-up with Adil Rashid mopping up with his leg-spin for 4-12.

In reply, England took only 3.1 overs to overhaul Oman's total of 47 and complete a convincing eight-wicket victory to stay in the race for the Super Eight stage.

The win took only an hour and 42 minutes, the fastest in men's T20 World Cup history.

England 50 for 2 (Buttler 24*) beat Oman 47 (Rashid 4-11, Archer 3-12, Wood 3-12) by eight wickets with 101 balls to spare.
