Hardik fireworks gets India past Bangladesh: 2024 T20 World Cup S8 (Antigua)

Allrounder Hardik Pandya smashed an unbeaten 50 to help India edge closer to a semi-final spot following a 50-run victory over Bangladesh.

Pandya smashed a 27-ball half-century as India posted 196-5, their highest score in what has been a low-scoring tournament so far. Pandya and Shivam Dube (34 off 24) shared a 53-run stand.

In reply, Bangladesh ended at 146-8 after they lost their final four wickets for 36 runs. Kuldeep Yadav (3-19) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-13) led the Indian bowling attack.

India 196 for 5 (Hardik 50*, Tanzim 2-32) beat Bangladesh 146 for 8 (Shanto 40, Kuldeep 3-19, Bumrah 2-13) by 50 runs.
