National Stadium

The National Stadium was opened in 1955 in the then capital of Pakistan in Karachi. It has a seating capacity of 35,000.

The stadium hosted matches in both the 1987 and 1996 World Cups.

Sir Viv Richards posted the highest ODI ground score (181) against Sri Lanka in 1987. In 2008, Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis achieved the best bowling figures of 6/13 against India.
