Barabati Stadium is located in Cuttack. It is run by the Orissa Olympic Association (OOA), The inaugural first class match was hosted in 1961 when the touring Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) played East Zone.
The stadium went on to host only the third ODI played in India in 1982, followed by its first Test match when India played Sri Lanka in 1987.
The capacity of the stadium is 45,000.
