The Kiwis came to Sophia Gardens and dethroned the Aussies with a 5 wicket win with almost 5 overs to spare.
The Kiwis contained a strong Aussie batting line up to 213-8.
In reply, Chris Cairns struck 60 with 3 sixers and Roger Twose hit 80 not out to see them to victory with a 148 run stand.
