Nissanka hits century as SL dominate Bangladesh: 2nd Test, Day 2 (SSC)

Opener Pathum Nissanka scored back-to-back centuries against Bangladesh as Sri Lanka took a stranglehold of the 2nd Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) Ground.

Nissanka (146 not out) brought up his fourth Test ton, whilst Dinesh Chandimal (93) notched his 34th fifty in the format, helping Sri Lanka to 290-2.

Earlier, Taijul Islam scored 33 valuable runs to help Bangladesh get to 247 all out. Debutant spinner Dinusha took 3-22.

Sri Lanka 290-2 (Nissanka 146 not out, Chandimal 93) lead Bangladesh 247 (Shadman 46, Mushfiqur 35, Dinusha 3-22, Asitha 3-51) by 43 runs.
