India spinners boss Windies after Gill century: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Delhi)

Spinners Jadeja and Kuldeep took control of the second Test between India and the West Indies on day 2 in Delhi.

India dominated proceedings, declaring their first innings at 518/5. Captain Shubman Gill starred with an unbeaten 129, while Yashasvi Jaiswal played a commanding 175 before being run out.

The Indian bowlers, led by Ravindra Jadeja who took 3/37, immediately put the West Indies under pressure, with B Sai Sudharsan taking a sensational catch at short leg.

By stumps, the West Indies were struggling at 140/4, with Shai Hope unbeaten on 31 and Tevin Imlach on 14, trailing by 378 runs. India’s commanding position has put them firmly in control, setting the stage for a likely series-clinching performance on Day 3.

West Indies 140 for 4 (Athanaze 41, Jadeja 3-37) trail India 518 for 5 dec (Jaiswal 175, Gill 129*, Warrican 3-98) by 378 runs.
