Boland skittles England in stunning debut: 3rd Test, Day 3 (MCG)

Debutant Scott Boland produced one of the most astonishing spells in Ashes history, taking 6 wickets for just 7 runs in four devastating overs.

After Australia’s first-innings total of 267 gave them a firm grip on the match, England collapsed spectacularly in their second innings, skittled for just 68 runs inside 27 overs.

Boland, playing on his home ground and becoming only the second Indigenous male cricketer to represent Australia in Tests, tore through England’s batting with relentless accuracy and movement off the seam.

His dream debut sealed an innings-and-14-run victory for Australia, securing the Ashes 3–0 with two Tests still to play and earning Boland the Compton–Miller Medal for Player of the Match.

England 2nd innings: 68 all out (27.4 ov) — Boland 6/7, Starc 3/29; Australia won by an innings and 14 runs.
