Herschelle Gibbs smashed his 21st one day international century (110) to guide South Africa to an unassailable 3-1 lead.

AB De Villiers hit 84 as South Africa's 317 proved too great for Australia.

RoelofVan der Merwe playing his third one day international again troubled the Aussie middle order and finished with 3 for 46.

Australia went from129-0 to 256 all out as Steyn took 4-44.
