Vettori denies Lankans after Dilshan blitz: 1st T20 (RPS) - Part 2 of 2
Daniel Vettori inspired New Zealand to superb win in the opening T20 by 3 runs.
The Lankans were given a fine start by Tillakaratne Dilshan 57 in 28 balls as Sri Lanka raced towards their target of 142 but a tight spell by Vettori 2-11 and then Jacob Oram 3-33 took a hat-trick to restrict them to 138-9.
Earlier Ross Taylor hit 60 in 45 balls to take the Kiwis to 141-8.
