Lankans restrict Aussies to 273: 1st Test, Day 1 (Galle)
Sri Lanka ended the opening day on top as Michael Hussey fell five runs short of a century after Australia were bowled out for 273.
The hosts were then set to face one over, but bad light ended the day's play. Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath was the pick of the Sri Lankan bowlers, dismissing opener Shane Watson with his first delivery, skipper Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting for 44.
