Ryan Harris and the DRS hit England with a triple strike on a dramatic final day. Rain stopped play after lunch with England needing to bat out the day to retain the Ashes.

England 37 for 3 (Root 13*, Bell 4*) and 368 need another 297 runs to beat Australia 527 for 7 dec and 172 for 7 dec.
