Sri Lanka won by 36 runs under the D/L method to level the series 1-1 after bad light ended play early.

New Zealand crashed to 26-5 after 10 overs with spinners Senanayake and Herath wreaking havoc as the tourists were set a revised target of 216 in 33 overs.

Sri Lanka 211 for 8 (Dilshan 53, Jayawardene 46) beat New Zealand 126 for 6 (Neesham 42*, Herath 3-25) by 36 runs (D/L method).
