Mathews knock has SL in charge: 3rd test, Day 3 (Pallekele)

Angelo Mathews stroked an unbeaten 77 as Sri Lanka seized the advantage over Pakistan after recovering from from 35-3 to post 228-5 by stumps.

The hosts now hold a lead of 291 as the 3 Test series is tied at 1-1.

Sri Lanka 278 and 228 for 5 (Mathews 77*, Tharanga 48) lead Pakistan 215 (Sarfraz 78*, Azhar 52, Pradeep 3-29, Kaushal 3-37, Prasad 3-78) by 291 runs.
