Rohit Sharma smashed 82 and was involved in a century stand for the seventh wicket with Saha to rescue India.

Tottering at 106-6, India ended at 227-8 against a gritty New Zealand to take complete control by taking a 339-run lead.

India 316 and 227 for 8 (Rohit 82, Kohli 45, Henry 3-44, Santner 3-51) lead New Zealand 204 (Patel 47, Bhuvneshwar 5-48) by 339 runs.
