Du Plessis dazzles in whitewash before injury: 3rd ODI (East London)

Skipper Faf Du Plessis retired hurt after smashing 91 as South Africa completed a 3-0 series clean sweep against Bangladesh, winning by 200 runs.

Du Plessis tore a muscle in his back whilst turning for a single and had to retire hurt.

Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock put on 119 for the first wicket as South Africa posted a record 369-6. In reply, Bangladesh lost their first five wickets for 61.

Shakib Al Hasan (63) and Sabbir Rahman (39) put on 67 for the sixth wicket but they curmbled to 169 all out.

South Africa 369 for 6 (du Plessis 91, de Kock 73, Markram 66, Mehidy 2-59) beat Bangladesh 169 (Shakib 63, Paterson 3-44) by 200 runs .
