Smith admits cheating as South Africa dominate: 3rd Test, Day 3 (Newlands)

Cameron Bancroft was charged with ball tampering and captain Steve Smith confessed to being complicit in the tampering in an explosive admission of cheating.

Earlier, opener Aiden Markram displayed a lot of maturity to score 84 as South Africa dominated Australia. They reached 238-5 at stumps after de Villiers (51 not out) and de Kock (29 out) put on 37 runs to have them 294 ahead.

South Africa 311 and 238 for 5 (Markram 84, De Villiers 51*) lead Australia 255 (Bancroft 77, Morkel 4-87, Rabada 4-91) by 294 runs.
