England squad: Archer gets Ashes call up
Rookie paceman Jofra Archer has been fast-tracked into England's Test squad for the Ashes opener and will make his debut at Edgbaston.
Veteran swing bowler Jimmy Anderson was passed fit after having injured his right calf last month.
Ben Stokes – one of the heroes, alongside Archer, of England’s World Cup success – was named as vice-captain again, while Rory Burns and Olly Stone were also selected.
