Classy Brook guides England to commanding lead: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Nottingham)

Harry Brook's unbeaten 71 off 78 balls guided England into a strong position at stumps on a fluctuating day of fortunes against the West Indies.

The hosts ended the day on 248-3 after an unbroken partnership of 108 between Joe Root and Harry Brook.

Earlier, Joshua Da Silva struck 82 not out and together with Shamar Joseph (33) frustrated England with a half-century partnership for the final wicket. This 71 run stand gave the West Indies a 41 run lead in the first innings.

England 416 and 248 for 3 (Duckett 76, Brook 71*, Pope 51, A Joseph 2-58) lead West Indies 457 (Hodge 120, Da Silva 82*, Woakes 4-84) by 207 runs.
